European Ski Marathon Championships

The valued races will be held in accordance with the International Competion Rules of the FIS (ICR).

Valuation:

EC single valuation women  
additional age group valuation (Jun, D21, D31, D36, D41, etc.)

EC single valuation men
additional age group valuation (Jun, H21, H31, H36, H41, etc.)

EC Team valuation      -   3 to 4 Teammembers
the best three of each race are in the valuation

Awarding:

„European Ski Marathon Champion“
Precondition – at least 20 women in the overall ranking

„European Ski Marathon Champion“
Precondition – at least 20 men in the overall ranking

„European Ski Marathon Team-Champion“ – Team valuation
Precondition – at least 6 teams in the ranking

Awarding in age groups:
 - Awarding Example: "European Ski Marathon Champion – Age Group Champion H 46
 - Winner of the age group H 46
 - Each age group (5 year graduation) is honored with the ranks 1-3 with gold-, silver- and bronze-medals

Rules single valuation:  

The times of both valued race will be added.
(= Valuation European Ski Marathon Championships)

Each participant, who is registered for the European Ski Marathon Championships and absolved both valued races, will be listed in the ranking of the European Ski Marathon Championships. (age group valuation and overall valuation)

Additionally, each participant will be listed in the result lists of the hosting race.

Rules team valuation:

The times, of each valued race, of the three fastest team members will be added.
Both team times of the valued races will be added and make the team time.

Team configuration:

At least three up to max. four participants can register for a team.
The participants has to be registered in the single valuation.


- No national or club limitation
- Teams can be registered as a company’s, club’s or free team.
- Men and women can be mixed.

Conditions for participation/ License:

Eligible is every person who has a valid license (Euroloppet Passport = license, valid for 10 years) and is 18 or older on January 01st in the year of the event.

Runners who are born in 1998 or earlier are allowed to start.

Continental limits are invalid.

License for participating in the European Ski Marathon Championships
Each participant of the European Ski Marathon Championships must have a valid Euroloppet Passport. The Euroloppet Passport costs 39.- € once and is valid for 10 years.

Starting bib pick up and late regsitration

- in Vuokattihalli

Friday, March 24th:  
from 13:00 h until 20:00 h (Late registration ECS until 16:00 h)

Saturday, March 25th:
from 07:30 h until 08:30 h (starting bib pick up)

The registration will be automatically deleted after 8 days, if the starting fee won't be paid until then.

 

Organizer's service

Payment of the starting fee contains the following services: Starting bib, time keeping, Löffler ECS beanie, Medal, Lunch (Soup) after the race, luggage depot, catering, personalized diploma and publishing of the final results at the website.

In case of race cancellation, 50% of the starting fee will be refunded after application to the participant.

 

Technique controls

The organizer notices that technique controls will happen on the whole track. A wrong technique will lead to a disqualification.

 

Changing date/ location, cancellation, refunding starting fee

Should the date or the location of the European Ski Marathon Championships changed of any reasons (weather or organizational reasons, act of God, etc.), the registration is valid for the new date, for the new location without limitations. Repayment of the registration fee is not possible.

Should the Ski Marathon European Championships be cancelled of any reasons (weather or organizational reasons, act of God, etc.), the registration is automatically valid for the Ski Marathon European Championships in the following year. The paid fee will be charged completely for the new registration fee.
A refund of the starting fee happens only after application with a reduction of 50% for service fee of the paid registration fee.

The organizer keeps the right to change the course or to cancel the race, if runner's security cannot be guaranteed or it's necessary due to weather conditions.

If a runner cannot take part due to illness or act of god, he/ she can apply for refunding the starting fee with a reduction of 30.- € handling fee by a verification.

By registering, the participant accepts legally binding the following conditions of participation, organizer's liability and usage of participant's data.

Conditions of participation

By registering, the participant accepts the condition to take a sports medicine test, which allows him to start in the look of health aspects. The certificate must be shown to the OC in English or German language, if demanded.

It's binding to proof an accident-health insurance to participate.

The participant verfies with his/ her registration that he/ she is in a healthy condition to participate in Ski Marathon races and he/ she is not afflicted with sth that limits his/ her sportive activity.

The participant verfies with his/ her registration that he/ she has trained enough for this competition and is in a healthy condition. The ambulance keeps the right to take participants out of the race, if he/ she is showing drastic indications of serious health damages

By registering, the participant accepts legally binding the following conditions of organizer's liability.

Liabilities

The European Union of Cross-Country Skiing Marathons and the organizer do not assume liability for accidents and damages for participants, functionaries and spectators or other persons during or around the event. Additionally, the respective conditions of participation and liability of the according race is valid.

By registering, the participant accepts that his given data will be stored, processed and used for organizer's purposes in a data processing system for Euroloppet organizers and the European Union of Cross-country Skiing Marathons. He/ She accepts storing, processing and using his/ her personal data. By registering, the participant accepts that pictures, videos, etc. before, during and after the event with him/ her can be published for for organizer's/ association's purposes.
